I like a guy a year younger?

ok so im just finishing grade 9 and he just graduated from grade 8 last night. so i started talking to him when we were at the same school and i was in grade 8. we became really close at the end of the year. so i started liking him then, and i thought he liked me too, but im not really sure. so anyways since this year we were at different schools i didn't get to talk to him as much as i would of liked to. but i have talked to him a couple of times, and when i saw him yesterday he game me a big long hug, and we talked for a while. so i thought i was over him, but now my feelings for him are back. he was going to come to the high school i attend (so we could be at school together again), but he got accepted some were else and his parents are making him go there. i got really sad when he told me, and he said that he wishes he was coming to my school. anyways is it weird that i like a younger guy. like im also a december baby. but i always thought liking younger guys was weird, especially since he's tiny, like his voice is finally getting deeper, but he's not really big. but he is honestly the cuttest kid ever. i love him so much (as a friend, not some crazy 14 year old in love with a 13 year old, who will be 14 soon). but like i really like him. so again my question is that im just wondering if that's weird. like were also planning to become closer friends and everything. is that fine. sorry i keep babbling on. but also im not just asking if its weird. i keep writing because i need some input.my friends don't really listen to me (ya i know i need new ones), anyways can some people just please give me advice on what to do.thanks
