HELP HELP COULD THIS BE FRAUD?

I purchased a brand new car about 2 months ago. My husband gets a call about a week ago from the salesman that he needs us to come in the resign the contract and to bring in pay stubs and proof of income because they made a mistake and in steed of filling out the form for me they checked jointly so I have to redo the contract. Why they would have clicked jointly I have no clue I did not offer any information on my husband. I am really uncomfortable with this they say that im already approved but I need a new contract. I told them I didn't have time to come out and they said they would meet me where ever they are being really pushy. Should I get a lawyer involved or what? Any advice is appreciated. I waited two days before purchasing the car and was told i was approved i dint get it.
